From the first presidential candidate debate. I thought it was a milestone for Kenya to be among the first countries in Africa to do this kind of thing. This debate was something that touched the hearts of Kenyans watching from all over the world, live. As the world is still following up on the Arab spring or uprising. Kenya is trying hard to avoid a repeat of the 2007/2008 post election violence where many citizens lost their lives. Back to the debate. It was supposed to start at 6:30pm and end at about after 2 hours. I heard it ended at 10:30pm.
The were 2 presidential candidates who were added to the debate as a last minute thing because they had to get their certificates from the IEBC (independent electoral and Boundaries Commission). these were Paul Muite from Kiambu and Mwalimu Dida who is a former Lenana high school Teacher. I have to admit that this Dida candidate was quite impressive at the first debate.
The candidates debated on several issues that most kenyans wanted to hear ironed out in public TV.
